My role is to assist and support the process of not only setting up the initial website, but managing any additional requirements or issues that arise as the site lives on past launch date. Having a web developer available to work WITH the hosting company to address any server updates, malicious attacks, spam, or ongoing tweaking of the website is essential to the ongoing success of any web presence. We consider all of our clients “long term” clients and expect our hosting companies to do the same.

How to upgrade from one package to another

Should your website start pushing the limits of your chosen hosting setup, we can assist with the process of moving and changing the website to a higher performance package. This involves backing up files, database and settings then duplicating in the new server environment. We can also assist with DNS change-over as well as managing email settings prior to the new site going live. Costs is priced per website and a quote can be provided upon request.

What is a staging site?

A staging site is a duplicate of the live website that hosted at a private address. This ensures as revisions and updates occur on a website that the development team has a private environment to test and build out new features without impacting front end performance of the website. Once new features and components have been tested and reviewed with the team in confidence, revisions are pushed to the live website in one seamless step.

How can we secure dedicated resources in the grid.

The Grid platform is built on our own SSD-based MySQL SmartPool system, which guarantees plenty of database resources to every Grid service. Sudden traffic spikes trigger an automatic boost in resources to keep your site online. If more dedicated resources are required in the case of a high bandwidth demand website clients can add a dedicated MySQL Container to the Grid account.
